Potocari: New mass grave with more than 100 bodies
SARAJEVO, July 8 (FENA) – Another secondary mass grave will be unearthed in Budak not far from the Memorial Centre in Potocari on July 11, the tenth anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica.

Head of the FBiH Commission on Missing Persons’ Tuzla Department Murat Hurtic told FENA on Friday that this is only one from a number of secondary mass graves dating from 1995.

“During preparations at this site we have discovered between 30 and 40 remains. The bodies are in a fairly good condition, this being a secondary mass grave”, Hurtic said.

We have reason to believe that more than 100 bodies could be here and we know from which primary mass grave the bodies were transferred here.

“The primary mass grave was in Glogova. There were a number of primary mass graves in Glogova, and this one too is linked to Glogova as a primary mass grave”, Hurtic said.

He added that work at this site started two days ago and that the mass grave is in a Muslim cemetery.

Hurtic said that the majority of foreign delegations that will take part in the commemoration in Srebrenica on July 11 are also expected to visit this site. 610 identified victims will be buried in the Potocari Memorial Centre on July 11.

1,327 Srebrenica victims have been buried in Potocari so far.
